KFP Skillfully Stages Liebherr Machines at the Bauma Industry Fair 2019
Liebherr relied on the support of the KFP Five Star Conference Service GmbH to present the “Baustelle (Construction Site) 4.0” in the scope of its first major, live show at the bauma industry fair 2019. At the world’s most important trade show for construction machinery and the mining equipment industry, the media technology professionals of KFP were responsible – from the 8th to the 14th of April and under the project management of Jörg Roßbach – for stage and image direction as well as the utilization of camera and audio technology of the 35-minute shows encompassing 39 scenes.
More than one hundred exhibits were featured in Munich by one of the market leaders for construction equipment in the scope of its trade show motto: “Together. Now & Tomorrow.” Always at the side of the company: the KFP team in central direction! Overall, five LED walls (each with different content) were filled with content from here for nine hours daily during all seven show days of the bauma. The visitors were kept up-to-date regarding the fair success of Liebherr via two daily changing news feeds. The work of the experienced KFP staff in the camera operation ensured that the presentations of Liebherr were visually perfectly staged.
The KFP direction team operated nine cameras in full-HD quality. Additionally, KFP also provided the appropriate technical support aside the direction, by upgrading some of the exhibits and making them increasingly attractive for the trade show appearance – for example, by adding touchscreens and other features.
The special highlight of the fair was undoubtedly the machine show “Baustelle (Construction Site) 4.0”. While the construction machines impressively presented their functionalities and features, KFP was responsible for both the presentation sound of the showcase in the outdoor area of the fair grounds as well as the audio at the nearby “InMotion. Test & Drive.”-Track, on which some of the exhibited machines could be extensively tested.
Such elaborate and deliberate preparation pays off in the end. Alexander Katrycz, Head of Marketing at the Liebherr Werk Telfs GmbH, is convinced that “all decisions made to work with KFP, […] turned out to be absolutely right“. “We are absolutely glad to have chosen KFP“, is the praise of Liebherr regarding the partnership.
Long before the bauma 2019 opened its doors to visitors, KFP was already at the side of its long-standing client by providing its experience and competence in the event and trade show business. The set-up inside the Munich trade fair center already began in November of 2018. By the end of the exhibition on April 14th, 2019, a total of 334 man-days had finally been dedicated together with lots of energy, heart and soul to the successful realization of the event.
Extensive screenplays set the scene for the modern features of the construction machines in action and live with the latest industry applications – including mixed reality, both impressive and exciting. The show took place four times a day and can be regarded as comparable both in standard and qualitative implementation to a live TV broadcast.
